Ormeau Labs Takes on the Fairhead Abseil for Little Heroes
Three members of the Ormeau Labs team have successfully completed the Fairhead Abseil in Ballycastle, raising funds and awareness for local children's charity, Little Heroes.
Amy, Emma and Claire took on the challenge of descending one of Northern Ireland's highest cliffs, stepping more than 90 feet down the dramatic Fairhead cliff. While the experience pushed each of them beyond their comfort zones, their motivation was clear: supporting children and families facing difficult circumstances at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
Little Heroes provides practical support to families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. From supplying toiletries for parents staying overnight at their child's bedside to providing comfort items for young patients and equipment for hospital wards, the charity helps make an incredibly difficult experience a little more manageable.
The fundraising challenge was organised as part of Ormeau Labs' ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and causes that make a meaningful impact across Northern Ireland.
The team would like to thank everyone who donated, shared the campaign and offered words of encouragement throughout the fundraising journey. Every contribution, regardless of size, will help Little Heroes continue providing vital support to children and families when they need it most.
At Ormeau Labs, we are incredibly proud of Amy, Emma and Claire for their courage, determination and commitment to giving back to the community. Their efforts are a fantastic example of the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together to support a worthwhile cause.
About Little Heroes
Little Heroes is a Northern Ireland charity dedicated to supporting children and families receiving care at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Through practical assistance, comfort items and funding for essential equipment, the charity helps improve the hospital experience for young patients and their families.
With increasing pressures on the National Health Service, charities such as Little Heroes play a vital role in helping bridge funding gaps and enhancing the care and support available to young patients and their families. Through fundraising and community support, the charity helps provide additional equipment, fund innovative research projects, support the ongoing education and development of paediatric clinicians, and respond to the immediate needs of children and parents during hospital stays.
By working alongside healthcare professionals, patients and families, Little Heroes helps ensure that children receiving treatment at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children have access to the best possible care, while also supporting the people who care for them every day.
