Belfast Build Day: Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators
Following the success of the event in Derry earlier this year, Build Day is coming to Belfast on 24th July, bringing together ambitious young people aged 16–25 to design, build and showcase solutions to real world challenges.
Hosted at Ormeau Labs, Build Day is more than a hackathon. It is a collaborative experience where young people are encouraged to identify the problems they see in their communities, develop practical solutions and gain the confidence, skills and connections needed to bring their ideas to life.
Rather than focusing on competition or investor pitches, Build Day creates an inclusive environment where creativity, curiosity and collaboration take centre stage. Participants will spend the day working alongside mentors, industry professionals and peers, transforming ideas into working prototypes.
The momentum continues the following week, when participants from Belfast will present their projects alongside the Patch cohort from Dublin. This cross-border showcase will celebrate the creativity and innovation of young builders from across the island, highlighting the shared ambition of a new generation committed to solving meaningful problems.
