Techstars Belfast launch

We were incredibly excited to host the official launch of Techstars Belfast at Ormeau Labs, marking a major milestone for the city’s growing startup ecosystem.

The launch event brought together founders, investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders for an evening filled with energy, ambition, and shared purpose. The atmosphere in the room reflected the momentum building across Belfast a community ready to support founders, accelerate innovation, and build globally ambitious companies.

This launch also marks the beginning of a Startup Community Partnership between Techstars, Ormeau Labs, and Queen’s University Belfast. Together, we share a strong belief that thriving startup ecosystems are built intentionally through founder first infrastructure, meaningful collaboration, and consistent opportunities for learning and connection.

At Ormeau Labs, our mission has always been to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Hosting Techstars Belfast aligns perfectly with that mission, strengthening the pathways available to early stage founders and connecting the local ecosystem to Techstars’ global network of mentors, investors, and programs.

We were especially delighted to welcome Jon Bradford, Co-Founder of Ormeau Labs, to the launch, a particularly fitting moment given Jon’s role in helping launch Techstars in London in 2013. His presence highlighted just how far Belfast’s startup ecosystem has come, and the exciting opportunities now ahead.

Founders attending the event also had the opportunity to learn more about the Techstars Founder Catalyst Global Program, which supports early stage startups in building traction, refining their value propositions, and preparing for long-term growth.

We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to Queen’s University Belfast, the Techstars team, and everyone who attended and helped make the launch such a success. The enthusiasm and commitment shown on the night reinforced what we already know. Belfast is building something real.
