Power for Impact

Date: Monday 4th November Time: 6-8pm

As part of Belfast Design Week, join us for a screening of the UTV Documentary, Not In My Generation.

This documentary followed a group of young people from Belfast alongside Queen’s postgraduate students as they participated in the Graduate School’s IMPACT Global Challenge with R-City Belfast. The programme ran across January – June 2019 and included a 2-week challenge set in Cape Town, South Africa. The team met with a further group of young leaders in Cape Town, Bonteheuwel to co-design solutions to a range of social challenges, drawing on experiences from their own communities and across multi-disciplinary research areas.

Queen’s Graduate School will be launching a new IMPACT Local Challenge, working with Project Partner R-City to co-design a follow-on project. Join us to hear about how design is supporting those engaged to make an impact in their local communities and the world around them.

We live in a busy modern world and the chances are, in order to keep everything 'ticking over', most of us exert a significant amount of energy into work, projects and other people.

This event is an opportunity for you to take a step back and check-in with yourself. Often most people will put their own health and at the very bottom of a busy 'to - do' list. We hope to address this by providing a gentle yoga class for all abilities.
