Community Spotlight
Q1. Name & Role
A: Amy Junkin, General Manager
Q2. Do you have any hobbies or interests?
A: I love getting out for walks with my sausage dog, Ralph (my best thinking time!), usually with a Mel Robbins podcast in my ears. I’m a big fan of good coffee, great chats, and spending quality time with friends and family—ideally all in one go!
Q3. What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
A: Last year I skydived from 15,000ft for TinyLife, an amazing charity doing amazing things.
Q4. What do you love most about working in this community?
A: Meeting our members and hearing their stories.
Q5. What’s your personal or professional “why”?
A: To be the backing vocals to the lead singer. I’m driven by the desire to uplift others—building people up with the confidence and support they need to shine in their own spotlight, whether that’s personally or professionally. There’s real power in being part of something bigger than yourself, and I love playing a role that helps the whole performance come to life.
Q6. Describe your ideal workday in three words.
A: Connect. Collaborate. Caffeinate.
Q7. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: My notes app is full of quotes that have resonated with me at different moments in my life. It’s hard to choose just one, so here are a few that continue to motivate me or give me clarity:
The longer you stay on the wrong train, the more expensive it is to get home.
The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement.
They’re not mistakes, they’re must-takes.
Q8. What’s one thing you wish every founder or start-up knew?
A: That you don’t have to do it alone. Building something from the ground up takes courage—but surrounding yourself with the right people can turn that courage into momentum. You’re not meant to have all the answers—just the willingness to keep showing up, asking, learning, and growing.
