So what if you did? What if there were more efficient ways to run your business, get all you need to done and still have time to do those growth based tasks AND maintain a healthy work-life balance? What if there were ways to do less to do more in your business?
Well keep scrolling, 'cause we've got some ideas...
Identify no more than 3 priorities per day
At the start of each day, identify your core priorities for the day ahead. These are the things that even if you get nothing else done in that working day, there's minimum stress when the day comes to a close because you've completed the needle movers. Stick to no more than three for these core priorities in order to maintain focus and list other, general tasks below these. Any more than three priorities in your day and they're no longer priorities, just another overwhelming to-do list.
Respect your time
While using these priorities to direct your day's productivity, make sure that each day has a clear goal and also that the task is clear in terms of what's involved. The last thing you want to do is waste time trying to decipher your own to-do list. Instead of writing things like 'Launch event series', get more specific and break it down into what that task actually entails so that you have a clearer idea of how much time is actually required. Breaking down the task also means you've given yourself clear directions so that you're less likely to procrastinate and you understand what you're working towards.
Value your time as a business owner and hold yourself accountable to accomplish your key priorities each day.
Delegate tasks so you can grow your business in other areas
As a business owner, you likely have a clear idea of your strengths and since you've made it this far in the blog post, you should have a clearer idea of your priorities. Work towards combining the two and clarifying tasks outside of your own strengths and priorities that can be delegated. Delegating tasks outside of your zone of genius can be a game-changer for business growth. Plus, now you can use the extra time you've got back to bring on more clients that you can give your full attention to.
