With summer now officially coming to a close and the back to school vibe in full swing, we’re ready to welcome a whole new host of events at Ormeau Baths this month.
We’re celebrating the launch of the Belfast Coin by Colu, celebrating with one last summer get together with Ormeau Baths alumni and residents while Barclays and AccessPay are bringing together experts from the world of finance and technology to dispell myths around UK payments.

What is the Belfast Coin?
Belfast Coin is launching this autumn as part of the smart city challenge with Belfast City Council. The Belfast Coin is a digital coin that is used to encourage the people of Belfast to use the network of merchants around the city and to reward them for behaviours that are aligned with making Belfast a more vibrant, sustainable and inclusive city for everyone.
How does it work?
The Belfast Coin operates within the Colu app as a reward scheme. The people of Belfast will accumulate Belfast Coins in their Colu digital wallet in return for everyday activities which benefit the city, such as shopping locally. The Belfast Coin can only be used as payment at participating merchants in Belfast.

Belfast Coin will drive new customers through your door, retain your current customers via Colu’s rewards and enhance your brand awareness with marketing to our user network.

As the summer comes to a close, Ormeau Baths is proud to be hosting the Big Summer Blowout Party for all Ormeau Baths community members, past and present.
